Clarity

Silent winds move through twilight’s glowing embers, untethering threads of past understandings and folding them gently into an infinite quiet. SC

Dusk brings an inevitable farewell, bound in tones of purple, peach and gold, slowly advancing into an inky sea of twinkling stars that hold moments dissolved from years long past .

The time is here to bid farewell to some of the plants in my garden family. They have shed their final leaf, they have blossomed for the final time and it is the right time to let them go without taking cuttings for propagation or replacing them with new seedlings.

Though I would have loved to have kept all the plants I’ve been growing since the start of my gardening journey, practical constraints (time and space) along with the emergence of a new creative direction mean that I have chosen to focus on plants that thrive in my current environment and those that I have developed a deeper connection with.

After gradually scaling back on the varieties and number of plants, I now have a collection that mainly comprises fragrant ornamentals and a small selection of aromatic culinary herbs including rosemary, basil, mint, sweet marjoram and orange balm.

A heart-led redirection and re-organisation results in a clarity of intention and revealing of a true purpose, to which there will always be a return.

Wisdom from within is home.
